In the April 2007 issue of the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research, the article "Discourse Skills of Boys With Fragile X Syndrome in Comparison to Boys With Down Syndrome" by Joanne Roberts, Gary E. Martin, Lauren Moskowitz, Adrianne A. Harris, Jamila Foreman, and Lauren Nelson contains an error on p. 475. The beginning of the first sentence, which reads, "Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is the most common genetic cause of mental retardation …" is missing a word ("inherited") that is critical to the accuracy of the sentence. The first sentence of the article should read as follows: "Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is the most common inherited genetic cause of mental retardation…"
